Before you watch Johnny’s interview with Mitch, here’s what you should know about him..
“I always feel that the more experiences that you build really changes the way you see things,” says filmmaker and world traveler Mitch St. Pierre. “And it really adds to your mind and the way you think. And that’s why I’m always open to any sorts of experiences because throughout my life the things that have impacted me the most are probably these random experiences that I’ve had. . . They really do change people.”
Mitch, who has a brittle bone condition called osteogenesis imperfecta and uses a wheelchair, traveled to over 40 countries by the time he was 28. A documentary filmmaker, community leader, public speaker, and political advocate in his native Canada, Mitch continues to shed light on conditions in some of the most conflict-ridden countries in the world.
“I really do believe if you’re able to tell a good story and show it,” he says, “I think it can really be effective in changing people’s perspectives on things. . . in the world.”
